Leonard frowned at Christine’s words.

He did not agree with Christine. Christine joined the Black Thorn Pack later, whilst he was always by Patrick’s side, protecting Patrick.
In Leonard’s eyes. Gabrielle, Damon’s sister, was the love of Patrick’s life, Gloria was nothing to him.
He said with dissatisfaction. There are some things that you don’t know. Don’t give random comments.”
Christine smiled. She figured that Leonard was the one with all self–righteousness.
“Call her over,” Leonard said as he pointed at Lillian’s photo.
Christine nodded. She disliked Lillian anyway.
Lillian was called to Christine’s office. On Lillian’s way here, she had been uneasy all along.
“Christine.” Lillian now was very humble. Unlike the first time she went to Christine’s office, she was no longer contemptuous when talking to Christine.
“I’ll cut to the chase. Tell us about what happened in the room on the third floor today,” Christine said simply.
Lillian immediately panicked. She thought, ‘Christine is indeed coming at me for what happened in the room on the third floor today!’
When Lillian was telling the story, she deliberately left out certain details that might implicate her. Also, she didn’t tell Christine everything.
However, she was facing two shrewd people. Christine and Leonard both figured out what had happened from Lillian’s words and the slight change in her expression.
“Christine, I didn’t mean to. I swear! I didn’t expect that after I rejected Mr. Terry, he would send someone to call Gloria over,” Lillian begged Christine pitifully.
Christine’s delicate face was utterly cold. She moved her lips and said, “Tell me how did Mr. Terry know about Gloria since he seldom comes to our club?”
“I don’t know either. Maybe someone told Mr. Terry about her. Christine, please believe me. I’m scared of water because when I was a kid I almost drowned once. So, I refused Mr. Terry’s request at once, and that was all I did.
*So, what happened in the room today has nothing to do with you, right?”
“That’s right!” Lillian immediately said.
Previously, Lillian had always believed that she could manage even without Fittro Club’s protection However, after all these days, everything she encountered led her to a better understanding of “reality” and “cruelty
It was clearer to her now that she must follow the rules set by certain people in the world.

Gloria. Lillian then looked at Christine. The words ‘I don’t believe you” were so obvious on Christine’s delicate face.
In just a few seconds, Gloria’s face emerged in Lillian’s mind again. Gloria was always so silent and lonely. Right now, Lillian didn’t have time to think. She instinctively believed that Gloria could help her out.
“Christine, believe me. What happened today has nothing to do with me. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Gloria. I’m sure she’ll clear it up for me.”
Christine thought, Lillian, what makes you think Gloria would cover it up for you after what you put her through? What makes you so confident about it?
Just because Gloria rarely speaks, you think she will cowardly say something against her heart?”
Christine sulked. She stared at Lillian; her eyes looked sharper.
Leonard suddenly stood up. The truth came out, and there was no need for him to stay here any longer. He took out his phone and called Patrick, “Mr. Hammond, we know what happened. Miss Carter went to the room because Mr. Terry personally called her to be there.”
Leonard spoke succinctly. He continued. “There was a female employee in the room as well. We also know who she is now.
He did not say that it was Lillian who framed Gloria. He thought, ‘Mr. Hammond is so smart. I’m sure he had already figured it out after this information.
“Didn’t Toby say that it was Derrick who asked someone to send the container into the room?” Patrick smiled.
me something useful. He told me that Mr. Fisher recommended a woman to him. She was very special and was up to pretty much anything. What a coincidence. Her name was Lillian as well.”
“Was the woman’s name Lillian? I just got a call from Toby, begging for mercy. He happened to t
Patrick ordered, “Take the woman with you and meet me downstairs in the parking lot. I’ll be right down.”
Leonard put the phone away. He glanced at the pitiful Lillian beside him and said to Christine, “Mr. Hammond wants to see her.”
“Sure,” Christine said without hesitation.
Hearing that Patrick wanted to see her, Lillian panicked. Her legs went limply. “Christine, 1…”
“Leonard is not a man who sympathizes with the underdog. If you don’t want to suffer, you’d better go with him, Christine said, ripping off the last shred of hope Lillian had.
Christine thought, “What was Gloria thinking when she jumped into the water? I have no idea. But I could picture how scared she was. She was drowning, and when she opened her eyes, she saw those bastards outside the container. They were so close to her, and they could save her. However, none of them did. Gloria, you silly girl. You must have been desperate.
Lillian refused to leave. Leonard usually dealt with ferocious rogues and powerful werewolves, and the way he treated humans was no different. He grabbed Lillian’s arm forcefully, making her feel as if she was being clamped by a pair of iron tongs. Lillian cried in pain.
“Wait.” Just as Leonard was about to take Lillian away, a figure blocked the door.

“Gloria!” Lillian looked at Gloria as if she was her savior. She grabbed Gloria’s arm with all her strength. Her beautiful eyes were tearful as she cried out, “Gloria, help me, please! I was wrong. Please, put in a few words for me. Say something to Mr. Hammond! I’ll leave Fittro
Please! I’ll kneel if you want!”
Christine frowned and looked at Lillian with disgust.
